Hi, Monqiue,

I don't think your theory is crackpot at all.  :)  I do think, though, that
it has more to do with the length of the time interval than the timing of
the surgery during adolescence.

In my book, I postulated that the length of time between the surgery and
the event of lactation is a determining factor for lactation capability as
the parenchyma is further developed with each menses until the event of
pregnancy, when it becomes fully mature.  It seems logical that the more
menses that are experienced, the more opportunity for recanalization.  I
have observed that this hypothesis holds true in the general population of
BFAR mothers, with a critical interval of about five years.  I'd love to
see a study undertaken to look at this aspect of BFAR.
