Yep, anyone needing NRP MUST take the AHA course in the USA. That is all
midwives, nurses, doctors, ANYONE. So this is one that the only way to try
and get around it is to not buy the book, but you must still read it. Karen
Strange does teach a fantastic class on NRP, it is not up to her which book
she can use she MUST use this book to teach or she couldn't be certified to
give you your NRP card. If you don't like the advertisement (and I don't)
then we must all write the AHA (American Heart Association) and ask them to
pull Ross as a sponsor. 

 

As Betsy said, Ross doesn't pay for our books, they don't pay for our
classes, in fact I haven't even pulled the CD out of the case on my book to
notice the little bear. I have never taken an NRP course that even mentioned
Ross' name, Karen sure doesn't, she gets nothing from them.
