Has anyone heard of a connection between breastfeeding and inflammatory bowel disease or functional bowel disorder?  I have a client who weaned her previous baby when she  - the mother - became very ill with this disorder and is now weaning her current baby for the same reason.  She is sure that there is a direct correlation and says that she has two friends with the same problem.  I can't find anything on this anywhere.  This mother really wants hear anything that anyone knows about this.
