Yes, why bother? Why SHOULD I spend time and money getting a degree from UIU in this field?
Someone please tell me what value that'll have if I can't even use it.

Subject: Scope of practice

I have read the new Scope of Practice, and I do not think that people are
overreacting. I think they are right on, and that the new Scope of practice
is not realistic in that now, according to this, an LC can never contradict
a health care provider, ie not show or bring into a collegial and
professional conversation a piece of conflicting evidence? I mean, come on.
What are we? Puppets who can't say this and can't say that? That is
ridiculous.

I am mortified by this new Scope of Practice. Like others, I am a nurse, and
as such, I can say things because of my professional training. This new
Scope of Practice is a bombshell. Not only do we have to keep on proving
that we know the basics, but we get to pay hundreds of dollars to do it, and
THEN we have to be quiet about those things we know?

Why bother.

Kathleen
