It might be a good idea to see the family, so you can these little things
yourself to see what they might be. I have seen similar globules in infant (and
adult) stool, which are usually not "lipids" (which might indicate an issue
processing fats) but a small amount of mucous.

In an infant, the most common causes I have seen for these mucous
formations is Over active Ejection, and food allergy, with OER being in an
infant who is not yet on solids or had ANY AIM, more common.

Is the mom or baby having any breastfeeding or digestive problems? Baby
growing well? Satisfied? Mom sore or comfortable? Other issues?

Have you asked the mother if the baby is receiving anything other than her
milk? (Many starches will "clump" in the gut and stool of an infant who is not
ready for them, and 2 month olds are not ready to eat starches.) Talked to
her about the symptoms in herself and the baby of OER? Of course, when I do
any consultation, I ask the parents to save me two diapers, one with just
urine (or urine and a smear, if the baby "quirts" when she pees) and one with
stool. That way I can not only see how the baby is doing in that department,
but by smell and texture, I can often detect if anything else is being given to
the baby, how much or if all is well.

My first two guesses would be either OER or baby being given a "thickened
feed." (aka "cereal in a bottle of milk" Ug.) See and Talk to the Mom and find
out which what if anything at all, needs to be addressed.

Good luck.
