After searching the archives I haven't found a reference concerning
breastfeeding and chronic pancreatitis. The woman is 4 weeks post partum
and has had nonspecific pancreatitis for 12 years. Since the birth of her
first child she has been very unwell requiring hospitalization, IV
antibiotics and analgesics AN has been advised that the source of her
relative immunodeficient state is lactation and she needs to wean the baby
to become better. Anyone with a reference or practical previous experience
please advise.
