Dear Friends:
     Elise noticed a difference in her baby's behavior related to her iron
supplementation secondary to a hemorrhage. I have encountered a few, not many,
but a few babies whose fussiness cleared up when their mothers stopped taking
supplemental iron.
     There is no research written about this, yet. It wouldn't be my first
choice of remedies when there is a fussy or uncomfortable baby, but if all else
fails.
     One mother was taking supplements three times a day.
     Mothers that have been prescribed iron medically need another source if
they stop taking the supplement.
