Please tell your friend that there are NO laws prohibiting breastfeeding in
public places in this country. Almost everywhere would welcome a
breastfeeding couple, apart from, I guess, a few private establishments with
antediluvian mindsets. Are you sure it wasn't a wind-up?
Does your friend have the phone numbers of the voluntary breastfeeding
organisations? e.g. (and there are several others), the Breastfeeding
Network's Supporterline on 0870 900 8787.
