Brief dizziness or nausea appear to be an effect of the hormones of
lactation(probably the oxytocin), in the early days-weeks. If mother is
patient the symptoms usually subside and BF proceeds normally. She can do
little tricks during initial letdown, slow deep "relaxation" type breathing;
lie down to nurse. Eat and drink adeqately and at reasonable intervals
(sometimes mom is hungry or thirsty and just doesn't get it:-). Reassurance
that this will pass is usually most helpful. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
