I'm sure that Dr. Hale will comment (in fact oxaprozin is mentioned in
his book, stating that there are no data but that the drug's long
half-life may be of concern), but I wish to reiterate my bias about using
relatively new and untested drugs where much better known drugs are
available.  Did this doctor prescribe oxaprozin because the mother
couldn't tolerate ibuprofen or another breastfeeding-compatible NSAID?
Or is this just his/her favorite NSAID?  If the latter, then this mother
should get ibuprofen instead of oxaprozin.  Alicia.  [log in to unmask]
