>Here is some text about the card :
The card is titled "Sakels Nursing their pets." These pets appear to be tiny
goats. They have latched onto the breasts of the two women. There are several
children nearby. The card was postmarked in Penang Malaysia in 1908 and sent
to Akron,Ohio. The message is in a foreign language that I can't translate

It is very different..... anyone know anything about it?<

Cindy, I am not sure what is different about it -- there is a pic in my copy
of Jelliffe and Jelliffe of a woman in burma suckling a deer, a pic in
Money, Milk and Madness of a woman suckling a pig (in Guinea, I recall) and
last year I bought a postcard of a pic, taken in 1981 of a woman in S
America suckling a sheep. (I bought this postcard in a shop on Castro St,
San Francisco -- surrounded by gay porno postcards and pics of Garbo and
Garland -- the top card in the dispenser was sun-faded and curly-eared --
obviously not the right market!!). There was a magazine spread last year or
so in a mainstream UK mag about an area of India where the women feed the
local deer -- now with bottles but they used to breastfeed them (and an old
fuzzy pic was in the magazine).

Who knows why these pics were taken? Just because it is bizarre to the
photographer? Sort of 'look at these amazingly weird natives, Ma'???

Although I also recall that women in the 18th century wused to use puppies
adn kittens to relive engorgement (can't remember where I saw that).
