Had to throw my .02 in on this one.
I took the CLE course from the Lactation Institute this past Oct..  What a
lot of homework!  I'm still working hard on it!
I have to say that one needs to start somewhere on the road of education to
become IBCLC.  Why not start with courses such as CLE?  It's a great
beginning to the field, and personally, I am chomping at the bit until the
day I get my certification finalized.  (Now if I can only find the needed
time to get all my homework finished!  Lactnet takes up a lot of time you
know!  :D )  I will be proud to have CLE after my name, and when I finally
get my IBCLC, I will keep the CLE and add the IBCLC.
When you work hard for your education, I think you deserve to be proud of
what you have done and show it off!
