My client has a problem of pain in her left breast after a nursing where
the baby completely empties her breast. It doesn't happen with the
right breast at all nor does it happen when she can tell there is milk
remaining in her left breast. About 5 - 10 minutes after emptying her
left breast the ache begins and lasts for 20 - 30 minutes. On a pain
rating scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being little pain and 10 being very
painful, she rates the pain at 3 - 4.

I suggested she might ask her doctor about ibuprofen, but she thought
this would be like applying a dressing instead of keeping away from the
claws of the feral cat. She would like to know why this is happening
and I can't say I know as to why.

Have you any ideas as to why this should be happening to her?

Thank you,
