Belatedly ....thank you so much for letting us know just how many different
countries are represented on Lactnet. What an amazing global community we are.

And Marilyn in Trinidad, nice to see a message from you, mentioning
David. One of the truly invaluable side-benefits of being a part of the
worldwide Lactnet family is to have the chance to be able to exchange ideas
with so many experts, and then, if you're lucky enough, finally to have the
opportunity to meet and have the wonderful experience of getting to know
the person behind the name on Lactnet. So it was for me a couple of years
ago - being able to meet David Bratt in Trinidad, a famous Lactnetter. And
to meet Marilyn and the other dedicated counsellors behind the successful
25 year old breastfeeding support organization that is TIBS, The
Informative Breastfeeding group in Port-of-Spain. You don't hear much
about them (perhaps Marilyn will tell us more?) but I have to tell you,
everyone, that what this organization has accomplished is astonishing.

Reflecting on my good fortune to have had access to Lactnet for nearly nine
years, which has been a lifeline to the outside world, a link to sister
LCs, a forum to share ideas, a source of expertise, brain-storming, support
and incredible generosity, an entertainment and diversion, and eventually
creating opportunities to travel to far-off places, there to actually meet
all those new faces with very familiar names! Thanks Kathleen and everyone!
