I finally contacted my pregnant sister-in-law with all my (your) wonderful
info on hepatitis B and she says, contrary to other family members, that she
has Hepatitis C and has been told she cannot breastfeed. So -- here we go
again, this time with Hepatitis C.

Are there any steps that can be taken that will allow a mother with
Hepatitis C to breastfeed?

What about any special concerns with pregnancy, etc. My SIL is in New York,
and feels her ob/gyns don't particularly know very much about Hep C, or else
don't want to share very much with her. She is on mostly bed rest, monitors
fetus twice a day and sends readings over the phone to the doctor.

Any help is appreciated.
