There is book from LLLI that I skimmed after I bought it. It's ok, but not
great. I usually provide a sympathetic ear and answers to specific questions
and copies of first person experiences that I have collected over the years.
The LLLI reprint #55 is pretty good, high literacy level tho. There was an
article in Leaven in Jan-Feb 93 that give helpful info for the person working
with the mom. Try contacting Jimmie Lynne Avery who markets the Lact-Aid. I
can send her address if you need it. There may be this dearth of materials
because this is a topic with so many variations and no absolutes.
