No ideas as to what exact process causes this, but I've heard it plenty of times before and experienced the same situation with my own children.  Neither of them care for frozen milk.  My solution was to start out offering a mixture of 1/4 frozen with 3/4 fresh milk, then when they'd accept that, increase the amount of frozen until gradually over time they accept it 100%.  Even if they never accept 100% frozen milk, using any amount of
it mixed with fresh will allow your client to utilize her stored milk and need less fresh pumped milk.  It'd be a shame to throw that out.
