Hi Again,
When I worked at the hospital full-time I used to notice that many babies when passing a stool performed! Some cry and other groan and strain - its as if they were passing a brick and not meconium. Has anyone else noticed this? Our Paed used to say it was "lactose intolerance" until I pointed out to him that the lactose was lower in colostrum! Any explainations?
Rachel, thanks for explaining the seeds! I have been hoping that no one would ask me what they were! Its so cool to learn!
Cheers,
Barbie Currie. IBCLC. White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
