Below is a very good, in my opinion, risk calculator after needlestick.
First, the acupuncture needle may have beens sterile, secondly, the prior
user of the needle probably may have a low risk of hiv or hepatitis
(depending on the city or population she is in and who attends the clinic),
and even if exposed to hiv or hepatitis that does not mean she will get the
disease. It is always a scary thing, though.
