I own a shop in Victoria BC and we carry the #5 french feeding tubes. We get
them from Bowers Medical Supply

I find it necessary to make sure I specifically ask for the long one (I
think 18inches) because the short ones do not provide for enough leeway to
get the tube all the way into the bottle.  One of the midwives here
requested a #8 tube, which is much bigger. I've tried that too, but the flow
is too quick.
Why are they called "French"?
