Carol replied (re: Melinda Hoskins & others responding to questions about LC
liability): "how does this relate to using
the superbills?"

Well, good question, but in the context of WIC (which is where this line
started) it's irrelevant; WIC can't bill, doesn't get RB'd.

I can't imagine how you would ever document anything if you were a WIC IBCLC
but not "licensed" hcp, if it's outside your scope of practice to "make
recommendations". So you write down the "presenting problem" (not calling it
that) - but how would you ever chart what you had suggested the mom do. Are
you allowed to "suggest" vs. advise or recommend? Talk about unprofessional
(NO, NOT THE LC, the constraints on documenting your responding actions)-
you would be like paralyzed, and since documentation is everything should
any situation ever come up for review, how would you document that you'd
addressed the concerns? You can't just chart the problems without noting
your recommendations, or you'd really look bad!
