while completely stifling my urge to laugh or expectorate or regurgitate my
stomach contents, my first thought would be to calmly ask Doctor Clueless;

"Then why use an expensive, experimental, synthetic version of these same
ingredients when you could use your energy and authoritative image to
encourage and support breastfeeding the original, time-tested, and economical
version, which imparts many other benefits to the breastmilk provider and
recipient?"

Until the docs and nurses and administrators and other HCPs stop sleeping
with the enemy, this  issue will ensue. It's money money money.
