I wanted to respond to the posts about a possible link between asthma and
Fenugreek.  Since I recently had to research this, I did find a couple of
references to this.   Dr Lawrence's most recent edition states at the end of
her section on Fenugreek, after saying that it is generally "considered
harmless", "It is also recognized to aggravate symptoms of allergy."   Also
in an article I found online by Kathleen E. Huggins, she says that in their
use of Fenugreek at her breastfeeding clinic, "Two asthmatic mothers felt
that funugreek aggravated asthma symptoms, an interesting effect, since
fenugreek is thought to be a remedy for asthma."  She recommends informing
women with asthma of the possibility of this side effect.  You can find her
