Pat asked if "ear infection" means otitis externa or media?

My question was stimulated by a suggestion by Dr Mercola to treat ear
infection with breastmilk. He wasn't more specific than to say ear
infection. The Pediatrics article that he was commenting on discussed
treatment of otitis media....don't know if one can infer that is the type of
"ear infection" he says could be treated with breastmilk.
