Hi All, I have been asked to give an advance opinion on breast reduction
surgery. The woman contemplating having a breast reduction is 32 years of
age, unmarried, weighs 65 kg, and is 5' 10" tall. Her bra size is 34G, she
wears size 12 slacks. She describes her breasts as "getting in the way",
and apparently she can play no sports at all because it is too
uncomfortable, although she does go scuba-diving.

This is such a rare opportunity, to be asked *in advance* about the likely
consequences of breast surgery. I have serious concerns about this,
including the misgiving that women enter into it without being truly
informed. Would anyone care to join me in expressing a "professional
opinion" about the risks/benefits of cosmetic breast surgery in general and
reduction mammoplasty in particular for someone who is, as yet, only
considering it?
