Andrea Tran states:
"Let's face it, breastfeeding will never get the support/respect it
needs/deserves until people put the health of children before the
quilt
of their mothers."

My first thought was that she meant to say "guilt" instead of
"quilt", but perhaps in a way she was on target. Part of the
problem is that the comfort, preexisting lifestyle, etc. of parents
takes precedence over the needs and rights of the baby. "I'll
breastfeed as long as I can still..........., and it won't interrupt
my sleep, and I can still get away by myself or with friends to
do..........., and my professional carreer won't have to be put on
the back burner, and my figure won't change, and I can still afford
to buy......., etc. etc. etc." So as long as mom can keep her
"quilt" she is happy!

Winnie
