There are two huge things that stand out to me about Ezzo. One is that
his method totally contradicts Jesus' attitude toward children. See the
following verses.

Matthew, ch 19
13Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands
on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought
them.
14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder
them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 15When he had
placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

 From Matthew, ch 7
9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or
if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you
are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more
will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12So in
everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this
sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Okay, it is obvious that Jesus thought no parent would deny their child
food, even temporarily, and that he thought it was more than okay to be
interrupted by the needs of children. I remind Christian parents who
are being swayed by Ezzo of these passages. Why follow something
derivative and interpretive (and some of his "justifications" are pretty
twisted) when we have the clear word of the Bible about how children
should be treated.

The second thing is that there is no unconditional love in the Ezzo
plan. How can children be raised to believe in forgiveness and mercy
when they never experience it? Galations talks about freedom from the
law, and God's unconditional love. 1 John says that "God is Love".
Anyway, Ezzo is as far from my picture of Christianity as can be.
