The Tanita says it measures to .1 ounce increments, which is 2.8 grams, so
is that clinically equivalent?  (I'm really asking because I don't know.)

Also, if you are doing home visits, do you have a calibrating weight that
you take along and do you check the scale every single time since you've
moved it?  Or do you just check the scale occasionally?   Do you have the
specific weight made by the scale manufacturer for calibration?  Or can you
just use a calibration weight purchased from a local supply store such as a
hardware store?
