Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away when I was writing papers for
tertiary education purposes, the rule of thumb for ALL abbreviations was
that the first time you use in a paper you write it out in full with the
abbreviation next to it in parentheses and then after you could use the
abbreviation. Perhaps this would be a good rule of thumb to use here , even
in discussing qualifications.

Also (and this is my pet thing) could we use generic drug names rather than
trade ie metoclopramide not Reglan as many trade names are country specific.
