# ethnographic studies that report the last-born child nurses longer than
earlier children, sometimes much longer. In Mali, when ever an older person
admitted to nursing til 6-7-8 years, they always turned out to be their
mother's last child. #

That's quite interesting piece of information. You don't happen to know
about tandem nursing, how usual or rare it is among those 'original'
cultures? (Original is not the word I wanted to write, but the right word
just escaped my mind. English is not my mother tongue.)
