Sorry, I am very behind in my LACTNET reading, but this caught my eye:

<<Interesting about GnRH. It is believed that endometriosis occurs in
response to abnormal GnRH pulsing (last I heard at least, please someone
chime in if this theory is discredited).>>

Abnormal GnRH pulsing has been implicated in PCOS, which is characterized by
lack of ovulation (and this lack of ovulation results in infrequent or
absent menstrual periods).

I am not aware of research indicating abnormal GnRH pulsing has anything to
do with endometriosis, however. Endo is characterized by long, heavy and
painful periods, which are caused by the migration of endometrial tissue
beyond the uterus (where it belongs) and into the pelvic cavity and beyond.

~ Ali, who was recently handed a diagnosis of adenomyosis (a form of
endometriosis)
