Hi Lea

At the recent LRC seminars in Australia, Dr Alison Stuebe spoke about  
pain in breastfeeding and how in some circumstances pain scores were  
exagerated due to depression and other issues.  I can't remember all  
the details, but maybe if you search for her on the net you may find  
something that helps you.  The situation you described resonates with  
my memory of what she was saying at the seminar.
