Interesting thread, personally. My highest need baby who slept little,
nursed constantly turned out just fine. The "easiest" of four children was
the one who is bi-polar. She distinguished herself very early, before
toddlerhood, by being alternately very perceptive or misinterpreting others
words or actions, shy,and constant thumb sucking. A grandchild was very
high need - had to be sucking continuously - nursing or pacifier. At 13
yrs. was discovered to have a large hole in her heart. There was a Japanese
study that spoke to midline defects being common among children who needed
excessive amounts of sucking.
