Unfortunately, I've heard that one too. Our local military hospital last
year, had someone in the anesthsia department, tell the OB patients that
they 'had' to schedule their anesthsia appointments or ... (the
inference being that the mom would not be able to get any medication, no
matter what happened at delivery).[Sorry I've forgotten exactly how the
whole phrase was presented]
