This has been discussed at length recently. There is no reason to test a
normal full term baby.  They have other sources of energies.  We are wedded
to the numbers and the numbers have addled our brains. Maybe it's not
possible to keep the glucoses above 50 because there is no need to.  One
article in Pediatrics and all the babies are getting formula.  Dozens of
articles on the benefits of breastfeeding do nothing.
