I may be in danger of getting bombarded with rotten tomatoes,
but.......Bottles are not a four letter word in our breastfeeding center.
After my visit with Chloe Fisher last summer, where I learned that babies
can get bottles and continue breastfeeding, if you use the correct bottle
and technique, Avent has become my bottle of choice in cases where we are in
the process of feeding the baby breast milk and correcting the
breastfeeding.  The Avent bottle has a wide base and relatively long teat.
 I wish they would use softer material).  I prefer the " very slow flow", if
the mom does not have an overactive MER.
Not all moms are willing to cup and finger feed, and this gives them an
option which they can handle.  In nearly all cases, the babies eventually
get back to the breast.

BUT, Avent does violate the code, at least here in Israel.  At almost every
bus stop there are huge ads showing a very cute baby and his Avent bottle.
All the other violations that Francoisse mentioned exist here also.
