Hey - that sounds like my sorta reading!!

It's interesting, because my current non-fave author Gina Ford (see
previous posts) has as part of her publicity blurb that she is a
maternity nurse who 'has cared for' (bluuurgh!) 'over 300 babies and
children in her 20 year career'. Isn't that a cute co-incidence???

One of my colleagues pointed out that she can't have 'cared for' them
for very long.....do the maths, and remember that a large number of
them would not have been breastfed, either at all or any longer, and
the experience that allows her to recommend her preposterous
scheduling starts to look thinner and thinner.

I think some of her 300 babies and children were ones she merely
babysat for, truly.

Anyway, our research-based bf literature amounts to many, many
thousands of babies by now.
