One of my first patients after I was hired by the hospital was a mother
with ringworm on her breast, areola, and nipple. It practically shouted
"ringworm," with the classic ring structure. Her physician was doing
rounds and I paged him and asked him to look at it, and he agreed that it
must be ringworm. He prescribed anti-fungal medication.
