What is the latest guideline regarding how much of a time lapse there
should be between a child's nursing and undergoing general anethesia
for dental surgery? I was told by an anethesiologist that the time
limit was 6 hours for both food and water, but I seem to recall
reading here on lactnet that the time limit for clear fluids was
somewhere between 1 and 1/2 to 3 hours. Please give references if
you have them, too.

Thanks. Dorothy Rae Collier.
