I don't understand why the doctors would destroy an embryo before doing in
vitro while she is breastfeeding? Since the embryo already exists, they
wouldn't have to stimulate the ovary to produce follicles, so that means no
fertility drugs. If her infertility was due to a blocked tube and not
hormonal, they could just monitor her regular cycle and return the embryo 5
days after she would normally ovulate if the embryo had been frozen during
the blastocyst stage. I don't understand how breastfeeding has anything to
do with this. I conceived my triplets through in vitro and was still
breastfeeding them when I became pregnant naturally with my 4th child. I
just don't understand why it is an issue at all as so many of us became
pregnant while breastfeeding. Did they give her a reason?
