So I sent off my response to this sub-committee's inaction on funding WIC Peer Counselors, and cited the AHRQ, the AAP policy and the Surgeon General's Call to Action. Then I tried to contact the two AZ Reps on the general committee (neither are on this sub-committee). One is D, and one is R. Their websites show that they will not receive email from anyone outside their own State District. Those are the people they represent and no one else.
I did receive a solicitation for $$ from one of them, but my attempt to email via his website was rejected because I don't have the "right" zip code. I'll just use his funding envelope to send my thoughts about the Appropriations Committee.
The donation $$ may or may not follow depending on his response.

Not only did I have to deal with a "training" from Nestle this week because they won the bid for WIC in North Carolina, Arkansas, and New Mexico (I walked out and refused to listen), now this! Ugh!
