My second child was born at home with no drug intervention. I had a 6 hour
labor and pushed about 20 minutes. He latched on for a very short time, then
fell asleep for the next 16 hours. I stayed in bed with him, offering the
breast constantly. He'd just lick at it in his sleep. After he "woke up" he
nursed for 2 years non-stop. To this day, he loves his sleep and will go to
bed "willingly". I personally think that some babies are just worn out after
birth and need to "re-coop" their energy.
