As regards terminology for diapers containing stools, and the terminology to
use, raised by Barbara and discussed on the list:
"Soiled" diapers seems to be generally understood, and colloquially,
"dirty nappy" is common here. Some of my clients have contributed great
vocabulary for specific rpesentations of breastfed stools, e.g. "skid mark"
for the stool that is little more than a stain. This is a term I now use
with parents, as they accept it well. I see no reason why such a term
cannot be incorporated into a formal paper, if explained. Seedy stools are
often described by Mums as "like broccoli", but this description might not
be universally understood, across other regions or cultures.
