Hi Lisa,
I'm not sure what you meant by "personal experience" ( did i or someone on
the list have this diagnosis?) but I too have had plenty of clients with pcos
and all that goes with it. Increased weight, facial hair, wide spacing of
breasts with or without obvious hypoplasia. Increase's in insulin as well as a
myriad of other hormonal dysfunctions.(these courageous women!) Which of
course plays right into the area of low milk production since all those
wonderful hormones are not working quite right. With advancements in
endocronology, women today are able to conceive, who in years past would
never have been able to. Lots of these women took/take metformin to
stabilize blood sugars as well. Are you looking for general information on the
subject or something more specific. I can dig around my files and find
information on PCOS and how it affects a womens body. I"m sure if you do a
seach you will find lots of stuff right here on lactnet. It wasn't that long ago
there was a thread with lots of input.
Please e-mail me off list if you have a question you can't find doing an archive
search. I've posted (if my memory serves me) on this topic within the past
year, and many, many others with much more experience with this than I.
Good luck with your searches.. a few helpful websites www.asklenore.com and
www.lowmilksupply.com

best wishes,
robin
