Just wanted to say hello to the group, now that I'm off nomail. I just
couldn't handle the volume while I was preparing for the IBLCE exam earlier
this year.

Which brings me to say, "Hurray, I passed the exam!" I used to sign off as
an"IBCLC-wanna-be", but I'm proud to have dropped the wanna-be from my name.
My sincerest thanks goes out to those Lactnetters who, earlier this year,
generously offered their suggestions as to what to study in preparation for
the exam. The most useful suggestion, I think, was K. Auerbach's suggestion
of Infant Feeding: The Physiological Basis. That was the one recommendation
that was new to me at the time.

Let me reintroduce myself. I am Regina Roig-Lane, married 11 years & mother
of three breastfed children, Matthew (age 7), Sarah (age 5 1/2), and Joshua
(age 2 1/2). We live in Miami, FL, where the weather today was hot! I've
been an active La Leche League Leader for over 5 years. I am by nature and
by education, a teacher, with a BS in elementary education; I minored in
developmental psychology. As I mentioned above, I have just become IBLCE
board certified this year. I am currently working for the local WIC program.

I am looking forward to once again learning from the many experienced voices
here on Lactnet!

Blessings,
Regina Roig-Lane, BS, IBCLC
