The fear and horror I experienced in contemplating a radiologist who believes
that a mammogram irradiates human milk prompted me to check my laboratory and
diagnostics book. The radiologist must be referring to a breast scan, or
scintimammography, which is used when a routine mammography is felt to be
indeterminate and the need is to differentiate between benign and malignant
lesions. According to the information I found, the radiopharmaceutical used
is 99mTC miraluma. I think that might be technetium -99M?? If so, Hale
recommends pump and dump for 48 hours.

more semester!)
