NEGLECT, whether by design (Munch.by Proxy) or denial is still NEGLECT.
It's reportable and not just to dr.  If we consider ourselves "health
professionals" than we are governed by the same rules.  Call your local
version of youth & family services or child protection - whatever it's
called in your area.  Sad and hard to do, but this baby's well-being is at
stake and it is your moral & legal obligation.  Has the dad or grandmom been
enlisted to help?
