I have made 2 mission trips to India and do not believe the water is an issue
when bathing. The greatest risk is from ponds or rivers, not hotel or
residential water. As long as she doesn't "drink" any of the shower water, the
opportunity for bacterial infection is extremely low. I have on occasion
forgotten to use bottled water when brushing my teeth and nothing has
happened. I have even joined in tasting my home made rehydration fluid I was
teaching the women and did not get sick.
