Thanks, Liz, for the thorough description of vitiligo.

The antibodies in breastmilk are put there on purpose, and are IgA.  I
believe IgG is the culprit (along with lymphocytes and other immune
components) in autoimmune disease, and IgG does not get into breastmilk to
any great degree.  In fact, evidence suggests that breastfeeding PROTECTS
babies from autoimmune disease, so she needs to breastfeed.  I would also
educate her about the evidence that cow's milk protein in infancy has been
implicated in Type I diabetes (another autoimmune disease) and if I were
her, I would avoid it if at all possible.
