There is also a condition called breast milk jaundice, which is
harmless.  Something in the mom's milk blocks conjugation of bilirubin,
so the baby stays a little yellow, but the levels do not get high enough
to cause kernicterus.  This is a different thing from "lack of
breastmilk" jaundice when children are not feeding well.  Perhaps that
is what is going on in your son's case, Sanna-Mari.
